Former longtime Lakewood Board of Education attorney, Michael Inzelbuch, has been rehired as the Board Attorney.
The announcement came moments ago at the Board of Education meeting.
Inzelbuch, who specializes in special education around the state, served on the Board of Education for approximately 10 years, until he was replaced in 2012.
All board members, except one, voted for the appointment.
He will replace the current law firm.
I don’t believe it!
They finally woke up and smelled the coffee!
I also can’t believe this!! It’s GREAT NEWS for Lakewood!!
Here we go again, nothing like having a person like Michael back to be the new boss of everyone.
Sad Day for Lakewood! HUGH mistake bringing him back. Instead of going forward Lakewood is going backwards! TERRIBLE!!!!!!!
Get ready for some action
This is wonderful news! The BOE has had so much trouble ever since he’s left.. So happy that he’s back!
take it to the pool!
This is the best thing that could happen for Lakewood – public and non public alike!!
About time!
Grammi, why do you say that?
Great news!!!
@grammi Firstly at least spell check. Secondly, How is it terrible? He is an attorney that is passionate about education and puts his money where his mouth is.
Good luck cleaning up this mess!
Wonderful news!
wow great time to save lakewood a true hero go
What happens to his special needs clients who he is in middle of fighting for their out of district placement?? Isn’t it a conflict of interest?
Smart move. Good luck Michael
Smart move!
It looks like only the pro- comments got through.
Just curious why they did not hire Aaron Arthur Lang Esquire who brought the suit against the state on his own time to straighten out Lakewood school funding
Excellent question
If you listen to the resolutions, you will hear that the previous law firm, represented by Marc Zitomer, will be staying on with the District in a consultant position. He wasn’t at the meeting last night because that would have put undue pressure on the board members to choose him, which is unfair.
I always say, if you can’t beat ’em, join ’em. So who from the Public School community chose to apply for the vacancy on the BOE? I guess we’ll find out Monday night. They didn’t put up a candidate the last time there was a vacancy. I guess they just like to complain. Hey, some people are like that. What a shame.
If Mr.Inzelbuch chooses the position of board attorney, will he also hold his prior positions with special education for the public schools? Does that entitle him to a NJ pension? Will he draw more than one salary? What is the cost?
Why does the district need Mr.Zitomer as a consultant? What are his fees?
WOW MAZEL TOV!! I think TLS was the main source behind this re election
