BREAKING – UPDATED: Man Dead after Stabbing, Crash in Lakewood (VIDEOS & PHOTOS)

stab 1UPDATED 12:55 AM: A person stabbed during a fight late Monday night crashed his vehicle while fleeing the scene, and died shortly afterwards, sources confirm to TLS.

The chain of events reportedly began in the Martin Luther King Drive area around 11 PM, sources say.

After being stabbed, the victim reportedly got into his vehicle and fled the scene, crashing into a utility pole at the 7-11 on River Avenue.

“He fell out of his door and said I was stabbed,” a source on scene said.

An official on scene said “there was a significant amount of blood loss.”

According to another source, the victim was stabbed multiple times.

The unidentified victim, said to be around 32 years old, was transported to Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus with CPR in progress. He was pronounced dead at the hospital shortly after arriving, sources confirm to TLS.

  1. Pd was on scene at 711 before the crash as they were off duty hired for the construction going on now on rt nine
    So they were there instantly

    Great Job PD and to the chaplains on scene

  2. Seems that neighborhood and others are specific crime flashpoints. We should see what needs to be done to clean up these areas. Perhaps more funding for full time police servailence. Many thanks to pd

  3. This development on MLK is costing us TaxPayers way to much

    Too much city resources are being dedicated for them

    Three fires over past few months

    Too many fights too count

    We should require management to have full time off duty officers on location patrolling
