Zeh Lozeh Volunteers Helping Quarantined Families in Lakewood

Submitted: A branch of the Zeh Lozeh chesed group is now fully operational in Lakewood with a team of volunteers who will pick up food items and medicine and deliver them to homes of homebound and quarantined families. The initiative was established as the need of the Lakewood community increases for families that must stay at home to keep themselves and the public safe.

A team of volunteers is available to pick up items and drop them off at the requested address. Requests for help are submitted to a hotline number via WhatsApp. A dispatcher handles the request and matches the request with a volunteer. Requests are submitted to the group anonymously by the dispatcher – to maintain privacy.

All volunteers must be symptom-free and follow all safety protocols. All items must be paid for in advance before being picked up.

This volunteer system is already in place in various neighborhoods around the world, and has now been set up in Lakewood.

To receive help from the group or to offer to volunteer, please call: 732.256.1110.

If you are out and about anyway, please consider joining, as you can easily do chesed by picking up/dropping off items that are right on your route!

In order to expand this initiative and to ensure it runs smoothly and meets the community’s demands, we are in need of many more dispatchers and delivery volunteers.

Please consider being a part of this special mitzvah if you are qualified to do so. If you are able to assist as a dispatcher or as a volunteer, please call the hotline number: 732-256-1110.

We would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to the tireless volunteers who are bravely assisting klal yisroel.

A special thank you is extended to all the champion volunteers throughout the world for their tremendous help to this cause. Heartfelt hakoras hatov is extended to the original founder of Zeh Lozeh – Mr. Faivy Mund of Toronto, Canada. Through Mr. Mund’s initiative, Zeh Lozeh is now running in 13 cities throughout the Jewish world and counting!

Wishing everyone a safe, healthy and joyous Pesach.
