YUNGERMAN ASSAULTED: At about 11:30 p.m. Friday night, a Yungerman walking on 5th and Princeton was assaulted. A neighbor looking out of his window noticed a few black people running towards a Yungerman-so he quickly went and called Hatzolah and the Police. Approximately 6 PD units along with a few Hatzolah members arrived to find the Yungerman’s Yarmukah and broken glasses on the floor-but the Yungerman was not there. Police searched the area and questioned a few residents. A few minutes later, they then met up with the Yungerman who returned to where he was assaulted, after he returned home to get another Yarmukah. He told police, his attackers asked him for money and when he said he didn’t have on him, they began punching him. Baruch Hashem he didn’t suffer any serious injuries.
U/D 10:16 p.m. TLS just spoke with a LCSW member who said that in light of the recent incidents in Lakewood over the past week, they will be beefing up patrols in town and have added a few more volunteers for to ensure the safety of the community-especially during the quieter summer months.

Were the thugs on bikes? I was walking down East 7th at approx midnight on Friday when I saw a group of black kids riding (quite loudly) back & forth on that stretch of road.. I got the feeling they were up to no good.. I did see two cop cars zip by in an eastwardly direction but apparently they were on an urgent call and didn't notice what seemed to be suspicious activity..

Why would you even THINK that it was Mexicans? Any VIOLENT crime in this town is by blacks. Mexicans(obviously only the bad guys)may pop your basement window looking for some cash but they won't beat you. I have yet to hear of a Mexican BEATING a Jew in Lakewood. I'm not pro-Mexican or anti black(just anti the animalisticblacks which are from the low-class). I'm just stating the facts.

Now if this isn't profiling I don't know what is.
Just because these kids were riding their bicycles around and talking loudly you think they were up to no good. How would you feel if someone saw you, your kids or family walking around, or riding bikes back and forth talking loudly and then got the impression that you were up to no good.
Oh yeah, that reminds me, what were you doing out around midnight? Were you up to no good…., maybe meeting with someone of the opposite sex, drinking, smoking, etc.. See doesn't feel good that someone has a bad impression or is making a bad statement, how do you feel now?
The way I see it right now everyone needs to be careful pointing fingers especially with what's happening in the news today. There's not one race, person or religion safe from anything right now.
lcsw needs to make more visible patrols to deter these gangs. also maybe make foot patrols like the nypd.
LCSW actually employs both foot and bike patrols whenever possible.

Anon at 12 36, there was an assault by african americans around midnight. Someone saw african americans in the area around that time. He asked if its possible that they were involved. Read the comments again. Noone said anything bad about either Mexicans,blacks…The negativity was against the bad guys. Understandably noone is perfect.
maybe they were Harvard students home on summer break and they went out for a bike ride 🙂
