A young man complaining recently of back pain was found dead, police say. 

At about 12:25 PM yesterday, Police and First Aid responded to a Second Street residence for a report of a deceased 31-year-old male, Captain Steve Allaire said.

“Officers on scene were informed that he has been complaining of back pain for a couple weeks,” Allaire said.

The man, identified as Jose Castillo, was recently homeless, but has been staying at a residence downtown for the past week.

“At this time it does not appear to be suspicious and we are awaiting the results of the autopsy to determine cause of death.”
