Yoni Silver Endorses Langert For Township Committee

yoni silver tls_wmThe following statement was submitted to TLS by BOE member Yoni Silver: Over the last 3 years  I have come to  recognize the outstanding proposals and ideas that Mr. Langert has presented and put forward for improving the quality of life in Lakewood. Steven langert has kept his campaign promises and has worked diligently on behalf of all the residents of Lakewood.

A little over 2 years ago, I joined the Board of Education and have benefitted greatly from the wonderful working relationship we had with him. Over the last 2+ years, we have seen taxes go down for the first time in history. This historic accomplishment could not have happened without the hard work and support of Deputy Mayor Steven Langert.

I urge you to go out and vote to re-elect Steven Langert this Tuesday, June 7th and make your voice heard for lower taxes and better service.

Thank You
Yoni Silver

  1. these endorsement by our BOE members actually bother me more than the candidates lack of qualifications.
something is rotten about all this

  2. I know that many people think of Hershel as not your typical classy politician. They are right. Which is all the more reason to vote for him. (Moderated)

The one who is not so typical, the one who is not scared to go public and maybe sound a little looney. he is the one that will stand up to special interests and fight for the middle class taxpayers.

Ever notice how most politicians always pander to the poor, to those on welfare? It’s easy for them. It’s easy to tell people, “Yes, I will give you more and more benefits and programs, and we’ll tax those who work and have it all.”

A real politician with leadership qualities is one who will go against the tide, sound looney, and stand up to the takers (those who take from govt), and instead stand up for the givers (the taxpayers).

    Hershel, you have my vote.

  3. Come on there got to be more than 3 people who HH insulted that are grabbing this opportunity to come out against him . Only BOE members bear grudges?.

  4. why are we so proud of his ability to cut our services? No matter what he cuts, We will never get a tax break .The money saved will be spent on something else that you wont find out about. Whats important to me is that the candidate BE A MENTCH, listen to the voice of the people and make a kiddish hashem. What is the point of cutting our wonderful services( First aid snow removal etc) if we will never get tax relief?

  5. i DONT believe you. I called, and they said no such thing. I believe he DID endorse Langert. Steve has my vote, for all his work for us.

  6. Herschel I went this morning specially to the County Clerk to vote for you! you’l make it and will hopefully finaly help US!

  7. Steve Langert has been receiving endorsements from numerous BOE members. In my conversations with Steve he has swore that he has little control over lowering property tax because 50% of property tax goes to the BOE budget. Steve’s statement seemed to imply that he has no influence over the BOE, but these BOE members seem to be implying that they work in depth with Mr. Langert. I am respectfully hoping that Steve will explain how he has no control over the BOE budget if he works so closely with the BOE members. My question is not meant to deny Steve an credibility to hold his seat. However, I believe voters deserve an answer to this question.
