COMMUNICATED] The Rosh Yeshiva.
Rav Yisroel Apelbaum Shlita learned in Yeshiva Torah Ohr as a talmid muvhok of Maran Hagaon Harav Chaim Pinchos Scheinberg zt”l. After thirteen successful years in Torah Ohr, Rav Yisroel opened Yeshiva Tiferes Chaim with just three bochurim. His goal was to provide them with the personal care and individualized attention which they so needed. Today b”H the Yeshiva has grown, but their goal remains the same.
The Rosh Yeshiva devotes his entire life to the success of every talmid, always concerned about their spiritual and physical well-being. With constant encouragement, overflowing love, and infinite patience, he nurtures every talmid to be an accomplished ben Torah, and a refined Jew. A powerful and magnetic mechanech and lecturer, he has a never-ending passion for Torah and Avodas Hashem, and a deep love for every Jew. Rav Yisroel Apelbaum believes in every single bochur, and pushes him to the max. His motto is: every single bochur can become great if you show him enough love and if you have enough patience.
The Yeshiva
At Tiferes Chaim the devoted hanhola strives to implant in every bochur a love of Torah by giving each one a feeling of accomplishment and success in learning. Bochurim are encouraged to gain clarity in their learning, and constantly review everything they learn. With a focus on making siyumim, and celebrating every success, Tiferes Chaim builds every bochur’s self-worth, and infuses them with a love for Torah.
A variety of shiurim given throughout the day enable each bochur to become well versed in Gemarah, Halacha, Hashkafa and Mussar. The Rosh Yeshiva’s legendary Thursday Night Shmuez keeps the bochurim glued to their seats and gives alumni throughout the world a weekly boost of inspiration.
The Trips
Whether skiing on Mt Hermon, or spending a Shabbos in Tzfas, Tiferes Chaim understands the importance of bochurim getting much needed relaxation and invigoration to further strengthen their learning. The yeshiva goes on several inspirational and rejuvenating trips throughout the year and has Shabbos seudos by the homes of the Rosh Yeshiva and the rabbeim. These getaways afford the bochurim the opportunity to become close to their rabbeim in an informal and relaxed setting, giving them a life-long bond.
New Lakewood Branch
In respond to the demand for a branch of the yeshiva in Lakewood, and as part of his sense of responsibility to his talmidim, and his endless passion to spread Torah world over, Rav Apelbaum recently opened a new division in Lakewood- “Kollel Tiferes Chaim” composed of his talmidim and select budding Talmidei Chachamim. It is led by his talmidim Rav Eli and Rav Dovid Weiner. The kollel has a rigorous learning schedule, aiming to produce high caliber Talmidei Chachomim. It is located at 63 Williams St where it has been welcomed and embraced by the esteemed community of Williams St. The night seder led by Rav Binyomin Brodsky, provides a warm environment for those in the work force to immerse themselves in the ocean of Torah. The Kollel will also be be”H the future home of Yeshiva Tiferes Chaim Lakewood, where it will replicate the values and goals of the Rosh Yeshiva Shlita in spreading Torah and building bochurim from throughout the tri-state area.
Kollel Tiferes Chaim is pleased to invite the Lakewood community to its first annual parlor meeting, this Monday, November 9 at the Williams St Shul, 63 Williams St at 7:15 pm. There will be divrei brocha from the Marah D’asrah of the Williams St Shul, Harav Moshe Chaim Kahan Shlita, and divrei chizuk from the Rosh Yeshiva Harav Yisroel Apelbaum Shlita.
