It was a yellow inspection sticker that caught the eye of a state trooper on patrol Wednesday evening. The trooper, Andrew Spedaliere, knew yellow inspection stickers expired in 2008, so he stopped the Ford near the intersection of Route 88 and Clover Street, around 7:40 p.m. Wednesday, state police said. The driver, Angel Merrera Marcial, 22, of Lakewood, gave the trooper an expired insurance card and a fraudulent Mexican driver’s license, said State Police Sgt. Stephen Jones. Merrera Marcial was arrested and charged with criminal simulation, uttering a fictitious government document and hindering apprehension. Jones said police also impounded the uninsured vehicle. APP.
