Wielding an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle and a handgun, a gunman killed 49 people and injured dozens others in what is the deadliest shooting attack in US history.
The attack occurred early Sunday when 29-year-old Omar Mateen, an American-born Muslim opened fire in a club. The shooting spree lasted about three hours and ended in a hostage siege. The terrorist was killed by a SWAT team.
During the attack, he called 911 to profess allegiance to the Islamic State group.
At the White House, President Barack Obama said there is no clear evidence so far that Mateen was directed by the group, calling the attack an apparent example of “homegrown extremism.”

lo sinaf- scary as we read on shavous after 49 days
More scary how our president reacts. “He wasn’t instructed by ISIS”. Oh. Ok. Thanks. But he pledged allegiance to their leader!! He’s a terrorist !! Nutso.
To ruby – interesting about your observation regarding the 49, but what has this got to do with lo sinaf? Lo sirtzach maybe.
I heard on NYC NewsRadio a “Man in the Street” interview with a guy in Orlando who said “I don’t think people should be able to walk into a club with a military machine gun and kill people.” Gee, I don’t either. Meanwhile, he bought the weapons and ammo legally from a gun store owned by a Retired NYPD Detective. The FBI, as always, fumbled the ball. They investigated the terrorist twice and dropped the investigations twice! Same thing with the Ft Hood Jihadist and the guy who killed a soldier standing outside a recruiting office in Little Rock, there’s more, a whole list on-line. It seems the only ones they catch are the 19 year old who goes nuts on FB, Twitter etc about his big plans for Jihad. Then they spring a paid confidential informant or three from.prison to set him up with a phony bomb. Then they bust him and hold three days of “Look at Us” Press Conference, while they get the barely coherent 90IQ “Terrorist” to sign a confession they wrote for him. If the Shin Bet and Mossad were that incompetent there wouldn’t be a Jew left alive in Israel.
To’ava people.
Lets not forget about the columbine… Not the deadliest shooting but sure is sad .
