The Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst is continuing its controlled burns to decrease or stop the risk of range fires from spreading to the community.

The smell of smoke was noticeable to many today in and around Jackson and Lakewood.

  1. I don’t know. You have a point, but in a way, most people anyway try to stay indoors on the hottest most humid days, so maybe it is the best time to do it. But the [I assume] fact that people are outside more on weekends cancels that out in this case.
