Women’s Networking Event A Fabulous Success

wiw[COMMUNICATED] It was a beautiful luncheon as over 25 accomplished, professional women gathered for a networking event at My Most Favorite Food in Manhattan this past Wednesday.

The event was hosted by Women In The Workforce, a division of the Orthodox Jewish Chamber of Commerce (OJC) of the Parnassah Network, and was generously sponsored by BNY Mellon Wealth Management. The OJC is a network of businesses owned by Orthodox Jews as well as businesses seeking to reach out to the Orthodox community.

The goal of this past week’s event was to gather successful professional women from the Orthodox community to network and help build personal and professional relationships among these ambitious women.

The attendees gathered at this invite-only event ranged from fields including real estate, finance, technology, nonprofits, politics, fundraising, higher education and accounting. The participants were of the highest caliber and were working in prestigious companies such as BNY Mellon, EisnerAmper, First American Title, KPMG, Promontory Financial Group, Simon Wiesenthal Center, and The Hebrew Free Loan Society.

Though the group consisted of a heterogeneous mix of ages, interests, fields and backgrounds, there was a strong sense of camaraderie and warmth. One woman mentioned that she often goes to networking events which are predominantly men so she especially enjoyed being among many other women. Another mentioned how inspiring it was to see such a large group of Orthodox women who had risen to leadership positions in their respective fields. WIW (Women In the Workforce) looks forward to hosting future events such as these to meet the needs of professional women in our community looking to network and advance their careers.
