As first reported on TLS Status, a woman was hospitalized this evening, after being struck by her family’s vehicle in Toms River.
The accident happened approximately 8:00 PM in the area of Cox Cro Road.
According to preliminary information we received, an elderly driver apparently put the vehicle into reverse instead of into park, striking the woman.
Emergency personnel treated the woman on scene before transporting her to JSUMC with paramedics. Injuries are said to be non-life-threatening.
Police are investigating the incident.
