Woman fired for stealing from Lakewood business, spotted selling goods in Toms River

As first reported on our Status, a woman who was fired for allegedly stealing thousands of dollars worth of kids clothing from a Lakewood shop, attempted to sell the stolen goods in Toms River, the owners say.

A Toms River resident said he found it suspicious that a woman would be selling items door to door from a Lakewood shop, and upon inquiring, confirmed his suspicions.

Anyone with information should call police.

  1. According to several fictitious news outlets, one resident of Toms River told a reporter, “This woman was selling this clothing at incredibly low prices. I said to myself, ‘ I’ve got to purchase these items for my kids, this is a real steal!’ “
