PHOTO: A woman has been charged in the stabbing last night that left a man fighting for his life, Detective Sergeant Greg Staffordsmith said.
”Shatima Brown, 24, from Lakewood, has been charged with Attempted Murder, Possession of Weapon for unlawful purpose, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon,” Staffordsmith says.
The suspect surrendered upon SWAT’s arrival, Staffordsmith says.
Bail was set at $150,000.00 with no 10% option.
The victim, who was not identified, was listed in critical but stable condition and is expected to survive, Staffordsmith said.

Sad that it requires a whole army of police to subdue one female…….I would ventrue to say it is because of the pressure that we have put on our policemen so that they are terrified to perform their duties. Policemen should be accountable, but they should be allowed to use their judgment to keep our communities safe.

A barricaded suspect regardless of gender would get the same police reaction. plus, the “Army” of police officers was probably due to the large crowd of people forming and the recent proclivity of crowds turning into “rioters”.

I think Police have proven they aren’t “terrified” of anything in that town. It’s called preparedness, and Lakewood does it with the Best of them.
