5:20 p.m. Police and EMS have been called to a home on Lexington a short time ago after a resident found a one-year old child on their front lawn. Police are currently looking for the parents of the child. We would like to remind our readers to keep an eye out on young children who tend to leave the home in the warmer weather to enjoy the outside.

Ah, springtime in Lakewood.
Teen-age boys speed rollerblading in the streets; Girls blocking the sidewalks playing trench and elimination….
Keep an eye on the tired parents.
Any other town and the parents would be arrested.
how do they know the age of the child if they are looking for the parents?
This problem is most prevalent in these developments where parents think they are living in some sort of sheltered private, gated community. As a delivery truck driver, I routinely see children as young as 1-2 wandering the streets of these complexes, completely unattended.
