It’s not over till it’s over. Winter is still going strong, and the area could be in for another big one. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for the area which will remain in effect from Sunday evening until Monday evening.
A mix of rain, sleet and snow should develop on Sunday afternoon with some freezing rain possible in the evening. The mixed precipitation should change to all snow on sunday night. The snow will become moderate to heavy at times and it is expected to continue on into Monday morning before ending on Monday afternoon.
Snow accumulations generally up to 6 to 10 inches.
Temperatures will dr0p into the lower and middle 20s for late Sunday night into Monday, and Monday night temperatures could be between 5-12 degrees.
UPDATE: The NWS on Sunday morning has downgraded the storm prediction to accumulations of 6-8 inches. The Warning remains in effect from 6 PM Sunday until 1 PM in Monday.
