From Keren Hamaasros: Winter is here, and so is the dearth of produce in the supermarkets. As a result, supermarkets import their produce from warmer climates, including Israel.

Peppers from Israel are currently being sold in local establishments, including Shoprite and Walmart.

Before purchasing produce, make sure to check the country of origin.

Do we need to be concerned about fresh and frozen products from China, Thailand, Ecuador and so many others, kashrus and labor issues, etc. Not peah or maaser.
