[LINK] As we approach the Yomim Tovim and the start of a new year, Lev Rochel Bikur Cholim of Lakewood would like to remind you about those who are less fortunate than us, hospital bound or home bound and in need of help. While we will be enjoying Yom Tov with family and friends, many will be spending Yom Tov in nearby hospitals. While coping with illness is in itself overwhelming, a hospital stay without medical guidance, proper nourishment or visitors can be devastating. Families of patients need a place to stay and some encouraging words, in order to cope.
This is where Bikur Cholim of Lakewood steps in.
Bikur Cholim of Lakewood is a nonprofit organization which is dedicated to helping patients and their families. When illness strikes and families feel they have nowhere to turn, Bikur Cholim helps by providing a full array of services. Some of the many services they provide includes nourishing meals, medical advice and chizuk to aid in their recovery. Their patient advocates are there from the moment a patient arrives until they are discharged from the hospital, ensuring that they get the best available medical care they so desperately need. They provide accommodations for families in their Bikur Cholim house with all the amenities of home; including hot meals, Seforim, Yom Tov supplies and more. When a patient is discharged, they provide handicapped van rides, medical equipment and hot meals while they recuperate. They don’t just visit the sick, they ensure that all their needs are taken care of.
During the past year, Bikur Cholim has received over 2,800 service calls monthly on their 24 hour hotline. They strive to continue helping all those in need, but the costs of their operations are staggering. Please help them make a difference in the lives of people who are in a very difficult situation.

I spent many hours over the past few weeks with an ill relative in Monmouth Medical Center. There are no words to describe the amazing dedication of the volunteers of Bikur Cholim. The Bikur Cholim room is always stocked with anything a frum Jew would need: food, drink, seforim, kosher reading material, snoods, besomim, directions to shuls etc.
It’s a comfortable and relaxed room; a place to get away from the dreary rest of the hospital.
It really made a difference to have that room and they should be supported in their holy work.
What is the prize for the raffle?
Is there a list online of what is included?

The hospital is a horrible, chaotic, unfriendly and scary place. The bikur cholim room in jersy shore is an oasis of tranquility and warmth.
The coffee and Advil where essential to my survival one stressful day….. THANK YOU!

Bikr Cholim Pantry was a LIFESAVER!
I personally benifitted from Bikur Cholim’s hospitality and caring. what a zchus to support the continuation of this great mitzva before the Yom Hadin!!
Bikur cholim doesn’t only service the sick(which they do an excellent job at) but also the regular people in town benefit from them. As they work together with many other lakewood organizations. Also unlike other towns which have 8 bikur cholims to take care of all the needs lakewood has 1 in all! Support them. I’m not a volunteer for bikur cholim but I do have a friend that is.
kol hamikayim nefesh achas m’yisroel k’ilu kol haolam kulo!!
