Why You Should Stop Shaving

Shaving has been so common in the past. However, the target audience for razors were men over time. The popularity of razors increased so much that women also started using razors more frequently. They believe that it is a quick way to get rid of extra hair; comparatively, it is cheaper than waxing.
But if you know how shaving can damage your skin, you won’t be using razors anymore. If you are someone who supports shaving, we are going to change your mind by listing down the reasons why you should immediately stop shaving.

  1. It Grows Back
Well, we are all aware that shaving takes ages for starters, and even if we have very slowly and precisely tried to remove all the hair, there is always a patch left that is left. And it gets so annoying when you notice this patch of hair after you are done with shaving, thoroughly washed, and are ready to get going. Other than that, what’s the point of shaving when you know the hair is going to grow back after a couple of days. You put in so much effort, and within an hour, the effort gets wasted.
    2) It Hurts
We have all been a victim of razor cuts, and we know how much they hurt. You are carefully moving the razor up and down your arm, and all of a sudden, it starts to sting; you look at your arm and notice there is blood coming out of it. It’s one of the situations none of us ever wants to be in for one because it creates a disaster in the washroom; you don’t have a band-aid with you, there is water all over you, and you have no idea what you are doing.
Other than that, even after you stop the cut from bleeding, you are in pain, and the skin that you wanted to be soft is filled with band-aids.
    3) You Get To Save Money
Razors are very expensive. The reason is unknown because all that razors do is remove your even expensive razors to work in the same as cheap ones. Still, somehow we are being tricked into buying expensive razors that you have to replace after using them once or twice because it’s incredibly unhygienic if you don’t.
So if you stop shaving, you get to spend the money you spend on razors on anything else you like and enjoy.
    4) More Infections
When you shave, there are small shreds of your skin that comes off with the razor; this means your skin gets exposed to more germs and hence more infections. It is a fact that people who shave have a higher rate of getting random skin infections as well as redness and other skin related issues. Also, if you are considering laser treatment, don’t shave before laser hair removal.

5) Leads To More Ingrown Hair
When you shave too much instead of removing hair in some cases, you are increasing your hair growth. The ingrown hair is so small that you don’t even notice that it’s there, and when you realize that you have ingrown hair, it is too late that in some cases, you have to take help from professionals and get them removed.

Put Away Your Razors
Although the reasons listed above are just some of the many reasons you should quit shaving, we think you are concerned about your skin, these reasons are more than enough. So embrace your natural body hair, go with the flow, and while you are it, just throw away your razor.
