The challenge for people answering this question is to distinguish between who they want and who they think will win the nomination.
I think Trump will win it because of the fierce loyalty of the MAGA base and the disgust many others feel about the blatant (more blatant than ever) corruption we are witnessing at every level of government, right up to Mr. Biden Sr. No rational person can say that Trump is receiving the same treatment as Biden Sr. and Jr. are receiving for virtually identical alleged crimes (documents) and for crimes by the Bidens Trump never dreamt of: selling out the United States to China, Ukraine, etc. Another reason is the recognition that Trump is the only junk yard dog tough enough to do the dirty work of tearing down the corrupt system.
I predict that Joe Biden will win the Republican nomination after a water main break and a surprise discovery of mail in ballots at 4 AM.
Trump defies all logic, besides being a great president, he has tremendous luck. I think he will win.
