So, I know we shouldn’t eat unclean animal flesh, but why would we want to eat a fish that lives in it’s own toilet?

Who is this group?

Although there was some impressive names on this campaign many years ago, there is no prohibition against such fish if they were gutted and cleaned properly.

If you really believe what you write then stand behind it

There are multiple rabonim that hold that there is no issue at all with fish

The Shilcon Aruch says that Darna d’dagim (the worms found in the flesh of the fish) are mutter (permitted to be eaten with the fish)
