What Would an Accounting Job Look Like for You? Find Out Tomorrow!

On Monday June 19th at 7:30 PM, TTI is bringing together accounting professionals and TTI accounting graduates to give girls looking into going into accounting an opportunity to hear what the field looks like, day to day.

TTI’s Lakewood program was created in direct response to the requests and feedback they received from their many accounting graduates over the years.

Now beginning its second year, the program is a resounding success, and is perfect in every way for a Lakewood girl looking to go into accounting.

Come hear all the details at French Press on Monday.

They look forward to greeting you!

The following is an interview with Mrs. Perela Berney, the director of TTI’s Accounting program.

A Year of Crunching the Numbers: Inside TTI’s Lakewood Accounting Program

So, you’re approaching the first cohort of TTI’s Lakewood accounting program’s graduation. That is quite a milestone!

Yes, it is! We’re so grateful to have reached this point. It’s been a privilege to bring Lakewood this completely innovative program that has given our students an unprecedented opportunity to become fully trained, competent accountants. We’ve had an amazing first year, with the students learning and growing and really feeling confident in their skills.

Can you tell us a little of the history behind the program and how you got here?

Sure. TTI has been running highly successful accounting programs in Brooklyn, as well as remotely, for many years. Recently, the exponential growth of the Lakewood community and increasing number of local businesses opening up has created a high demand for qualified accountants in Lakewood.

We saw a need for a program in Lakewood for women that would open the door to this field in a more convenient, affordable way, backed by TTI’s years of experience. Word is spreading about the success of the program, and more and more women have taken advantage of the excellent career opportunity and signed up.

What jobs are open to students and graduates?

There are so many options available for well-paid employment! Accounting is a field that continues to grow and evolve to meet increasing demand. Nearly every business, organization, and mosad needs accounting work. There are amazing options in tax, real estate, healthcare, e-commerce, non-profit and more. Accounting knowledge can also be a springboard to opportunities such as consulting or opening your own small business.

What would you say is the most outstanding characteristic of the program?

TTI’s accounting program has drastically reduced the amount of time it takes to reach the point of earning an accounting degree with the option of sitting for the CPA exam. By utilizing a combination of live classes and self-study coursework, the program can be completed in as little as 18 months, start to finish.

The program meets the New Jersey CPA requirements, and is led by frum professors with years of real-world accounting experience who are hand-picked by TTI to teach the classes. Students receive valuable instruction in a stimulating and enjoyable environment. Our students also enjoy detailed personal guidance throughout the whole process of transferring credits, obtaining financial aid, and successfully earning their degree. Before they know it, they’ve amassed a tremendous amount of practical accounting skills and they’re also qualified to take the CPA if they so choose.

It’s incredible that the program can be done so quickly! The weekly class schedule must be intense!

Not at all, actually. The in-person classes take place twice a week, on Sundays and one evening a week. The rest is self-study, according to each student’s individual schedule. All of our students are able to maintain regular jobs during the program.

An added bonus of the all-female cohort is the reassurance that you will have others to support you through the process. Over nine months of the live program, our students have enjoyed academic camaraderie, become great friends, and have also built relationships with their instructors who are constantly available to guide them.

Are there any other reasons to choose TTI’s accounting accreditation program over others?

Here’s an important one: the price! Students who receive financial aid and come equipped with credits from seminary or other sources can pay as little as $9,700 for the entire program!

There is no question; this is the best path to take for an accounting degree. TTI has decades of experience in helping the community graduate with degrees in a variety of industries, and it is our experience which ensures the smoothest and most seamless process to becoming a CPA.

Not only will students graduate from Eastwick College with the knowledge and accreditation they need to begin their careers, they will also be hired easily, as prospective employers know TTI graduates are well prepared and knowledgeable.

It sounds compelling! Is there any way to find out more about the program?

Yes! You can actually get a sneak peek into the program this coming Monday night! We’re having an open-to-the-public graduation and panel discussion featuring professionals from different segments of the accounting field. This is a unique opportunity to hear about what a future in accounting could look like for you, and you can actually meet and speak to our  students and faculty to learn about the program firsthand.

The event will take place at The French Press, at 939 River Avenue. Monday evening, June 19 at 7:30 PM.
