  1. I’ll be the 1st one….traffic and overbuilding. Let everyone else just comment #MeToo. That’s about all everyone complains about.

  2. do they really care what we want? y ask us, as if theres someone listening and cares. they do what they want regardless of our needs and recommendations.

  3. BRIDGES FOR SQUIRRELS!!! With the recent increase in traffic this town has seen, the toll of death by squishiside is on the rise. Why is it that only the humans If this town receive the attention of our elected officials??? Don’t squirrels deserve some recognition too? Perhaps it’s time to slip a couple of acorns unterin tisch.

  4. Oberlin and cederBridge need a lot of help I come by there everyday and sit there for 20 min because every green light only 2 cars turn because it very short plus there is 2 school’s not just school like the biggest!!!

  5. Stop blaming state.Yes they maybe guilty to, but once circumstances are way they are you must act responsibly. don’t allow over building and then blame state for not allowing you to fix traffic. if its even really their fault the traffic. How many houses did LAKEWOOD TOWNSHIP NOT NJ STATE approve by oak and vine off of rt 9 for example?how many are coming more to cross street and so forth?
If A caused a flood doesn’t give B a right to turn on faucet on highest volume.
Stop saying I’ll look into it” “will forward it to so and so” take responsibility for the mess you made. Say two simple hard words BE A MAN and say them- “WE’RE SORRY” WE made mistakes and we will do better and SINCERLY try to clean it all up
Thank you for all the good you do do. credit is due where its due and i give it, but as same time responsibility for actions are .STOP THE BLAMING STATE GAME! thank you and have a healthy HONEST year

  6. I agree with Dave the Rave. I’m sure people will feel good venting here, but ultimately noone is listening or cares. They know the issues with building and the traffic it causes yet continue to allow it.

  7. i have a simple comment if 95% of comments here are and will be about traffic why don’t you you get it stop blaming the state for houses you allowed.

  8. Stopping all the corruption (which includes the lakewood poop) i know u won’t post this comment because uare a big part of the corruption in this town.

  9. I am simply dumbstruck by the inability of our Township to notice that the roads in this town resemble the lunar surface more than they do city streets. I for one am tired of having everything blamed on the County or the State. Forget those roads!!!!!! Is Astor Court a Townsip street? It is an embarrassment and a travesty that it has been allowed to look the way it does for YEARS!! And there are dozens of streets like that! Enough with the excuses. Please get to work. People are sick and tired of the substandard of living in this Town.

  10. For some reason 99% of answers will be related to traffic. And answer we hear is state state state ,so I ask is the state the ones who allowed all the irresponsible building??oak an vine off of rt 9?park ave point bay coming soon?and so forth. Was that also the state?!If Person A causes a pipe to bust, does person b then have a right to turn on all the water on highest power cause A busted it?! who are you fooling?Just say your sorry and begin to clean it all up.thank you

  11. @Akiva, it’s clear from your post, you’re still quite young. So, please, dont give up. Help is available for you. With the proper guidance and the right cocktail of effective medication, you, too, can one day, very soon, lead a normal productive life. Dont push this off; the sooner you get medical intervention, the better your chances of attaining normalcy are.
    Hatzlocha Rabbah !!

  12. Traffic & Stop allowing overbuilding. Politicians are talking about working on getting the State to widen Route 9 for the past 20plus years, but NOTHING ever happened. Naturally, we lose faith in all their rhetoric…

    • Correction the Rout 9 widening has been talked about since the mid 1960’s. Plans and studies have been made and made again…….

  13. I’m surprised no one mentions safety! With recent tragedies, safety is number one! In our schools, shuls, businesses etc, we need to ramp up safety.

  14. Do to the increased traffic on New Hampshire Ave there needs to be traffic lights installed for Ronald Road and Erica Road. It is almost impossible to make a left turn from either of these roads. New Hampshire is a county road so it should be very easy to get the freeholders to approve both lights. Just remind them of the votes in Lakewood.

  15. If you cant make a left turn turn right then left like on rt 9 between 1st and county line thanks in advance from the car stuck behind you

  16. @for some reason

The Park Ave application was approved by Lakewood’s zoning board. No one showed up to oppose that application.

If people would show up to the board meetings, even if the boards approve, those people could at least say, “we tried”.
