    • Please be careful when you say Proper Education. We don’t want what is happening in N.Y. schools. If you tell them to check out the education in schools they will come up with a new curriculum and end up making it worse for the frum community.

  1. They should stop focusing on the special interest people, and start focusing on the citizens who put them in office.

    One more thing.

I think that there should be term limits for all these politicians.

  2. Quality of Life Issues including reducing traffic congestion, improving pedestrian and traffic safety, infrastructure improvements and crime prevention.

  3. I feel like they dont even take us seriously any more. Did they notice that everyone is begging them to stop building? Why are trees getting torn up all over town and houses going up on every corner?

  4. Traffic flows to fast here and theres barley any developments here. Please slow down the traffic and build more devolpments. Thank you in advance

  5. Traffic,Traffic Traffic Traffic and Traffic
oh and also the roads that the traffic is on because they a lot of them look like they are a lunar landscape

  6. No more duplexes. Why is the zoning board allowing duplexes in R12 zone???enough with duplexes. Yes there wa point in allowing them years ago to allow redevelopment of blighted areas, but now it is just out if control and it must be stopped.

  7. 1. Infrastructure.
    2. Widening the heavily trafficked County Line Road.
    3. Neighborhood Parks.
    4. Posting full packets on meeting agendas online prior to the meetings.

    • For your second suggestion.. Wasn’t there a County project several years ago where the county engineer planned to widen County Line Road. Whatever happened with that project? Why did it stall??

  8. The township still owns lots of land.STOP SELLING THESE LANDS TO DEVELOPERS!!! (maybe some new parks instead would be nice, since are the “youngest ” town in NJ. Kids need a place where they can play)

  9. get rid of the merge on Route 9 South by the lake. there’s enough room to dualize the lanes. Perhaps consider getting rid of some left turning lanes and instead have dualized lanes going straight. (no “state road” excuses., don”t we have “State” Senator Singer here to help uswith “state” issues..)thanx. also let’s keep Ray in the drivers seat, he does a gr8 job and will always give you some of his time!! thank you RAY

  10. It’s Hilarious when we get articles like these. It’s been the same thing for years now. Everyone screams traffic, traffic, traffic and its the same old story.

  11. They should focus on whatever the askonim ask of them. The askonim know what we need & what we don’t need. Follow the askonim & you’ll be matzliach. Follow the crowd & you’ll be out of a job.
It’s time for people to start trusting those selfless individuals who know what’s better for us.

  12. there is a average of 2 people on every Lakewood city bus! they are paying drivers, mechanics, fuel, purchased buses, operators etc…if we would give free car services for all the people that ride the bus we would save millions of dollars!, just another waste of money and excuse to keep on building b,c, “the city buses will keep the traffic down” they say

  13. I don’t get it: Haven’t we been down this road – pun intended – before?
Posting our frustrations over and over again – specifically about the demise of this town’s infrastructure – and yet all we hear is the chirping of crickets and bulldozers???

    Please.

  14. Pave Oak St. between NH and Albert!!!! Plus Williams St Between prospect and cedar ct.. We can’t drive on bombed out roads. Plus neighborhood parks are essential especially in the Prospest St. area.

  15. Ending those robocalls. Especially the ones that come at 11PM!! Sorry if you are an organization – you can’t just call anyone at any time!

  16. They should continue planning for the next decade and build more homes for all the people who the selfless realtors bring to Lakewood.

If there’s no room for houses, the committee should vacate roads and give setback variances to build more houses.

    Sincerely,
    The developers of Lakewood

P.S., no worries about the traffic. Eventually, the state will be forced to widen Rt 9 for us.

  17. Let’s start with them telling us their accomplishments how they improved the quality of life in 2018, and we’ll take it from there!

  18. Town/ state
    1. Out of control building
    2. Can town sustain the increased population (water supply, garbage, roadways, sidewalks)
    3. Traffic/ potholes
    4. Open space (parks)

    Local officials
    1. Schooling for every child

  19. Just keep on fixing our roads, Traffic is the biggest concern for us.
Mayor Coles did do a lot of things to make the traffic flow better, but the job isn’t done yet, so please keep it up!
    1) Rt. 9
We can do it, it is possible, we just need to work harder, not to get discouraged, just continue to keep on asking the State to help you.
    Yes it can be done!!!

2)County Line from Rt. 9 until Joe Parker rd. Should have two lanes in each direction, plus turning lanes where possible.

    3)Vine – Vermont
Let’s finish this project, it will be great.

Thank you Mr. Mayor for your help and service for us all
