Numerous residents across Ocean County tell TLS that they have been receiving text messages on their phone directing them to watch a video posted on YouTube that attacks Jackson Township and its officials for their alleged discrimination against its Orthodox Jewish residents.
The clip, posted on YouTube by “Families For Jackson Justice,” begins with footage of the Jersey City attack which claimed the lives of two innocent Jews, after which a narrator tells viewers that anti-Semitism is rising, “and now it’s coming from Jackson Township’s government.”

It goes on to list a litany of allegedly anti-Orthodox moves made by Jackson officials, including ordinances, surveillance of Jewish worshippers, and retaliatory actions taken against Councilman Ken Bressi who testified against them.
The video then plays the audio first reported on by TLS of Jackson’s Mayor Michael Reina saying that if the debate was regarding churches he wouldn’t be fighting them.
The narrator then says that “enough is enough” and urges viewers to “tell Jackson Township officials there’s no place for discrimination in our community,” and to visit FamiliesForJacksonJustice.com

don’t believe the propiganda. Reina is a great man and friend to all jews. He told me many stories of how he smokes cigars with rabbi kotler and has tried to settle these lawsuits for years but nobody talks with him.
When his grandaughter was sick and needed medicine the jewish commuty banded together and raised $20,000 for him.. he said he is eteranlly greatfull to us. This has to be lies.
bob is correct, he is only trying to preserve Jackson from becoming a parking lot like Lakewood has
@bob
That fits a profile of a dirty politician who makes believe he’s everyone’s friend and stabs them when they are not looking.
If he really intended to settle, he would introduce legislation to rescind those ordinances preventing schools, synagogues and dorms from being built. These lawsuits are costing the Jackson taxpayers millions of dollars- and the Jackson defendants will lose in the end.
Thank you Dr. Roberts!
it doesn’t really matter who is right or wrong over here, I don’t think that sending out a random text with the link is the way to spread awareness about anti semitism. It will just further infuriate those previously infuriated.
