Want to see a rocket launch to the International Space Station? You just might be able to this evening, even if you’re in Lakewood.
A Northrop Grumman Antares rocket loaded with about 7,500 pounds of supplies will blast off Sunday evening from NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia at 5:39 PM.
The rocket will be visible in most of southern New Jersey, including Ocean County, shortly following the launch. In Lakewood, the rocket should become visible at around 2 minutes after launch. To see it, look towards the sky in the south/southeast.
UPDATE: The launch has been aborted for unknown reasons.
Mission Aborted
Launch is NOT taking place today
Was aborted
Probably because people were on their way to the Dirshu Siyum and they didn’t want them to miss it.
