  1. Shame on us personally!! Shame on Lakewood!

Hatzolah makes an asifa and onky a skeleton crowd comes out???

Hayitcohen in today’s age for Hatzolah we are not there??

Where is our hearts for all the dedicated members and tzadikim who run this place called Hatzola. We are a klall if someone is not going to stand up then who is?? Shame on us that there weren’t 5000 people tonight.

What’s our answer on yom hadin?? We need tastings?? We need fancy stuff for us to come out for our lifesavers who give up their lives??

    Nebeach on us.

A member of the klall who cares.

We need to reflect and come to our senses. We need to regroup and next time hatzolah calls us we jump and run like they do.

Whoever has monies please step up to the plate and make a big donation.

R.Moshe Sheternbuch just paskened if u saw the video to give everything for Pikuach Nefesh before other Tzedokos!!

    So who are we really??

  2. BH I agree with you. I also wonder why an event supporting Hatzolah by discussing the halchic aspects of its organization was not much attended. Unfortunately we are living in a very migushimdika time where substance is not as important as entertainment is. Anyway beautiful event which I enjoyed immensely!

  3. BH, Relax! apparently hatzalah lately seems to be constantly asking for money. Motzei shabbos 10pm isnt the best time for people to pull themselves together and go attend an asifa. If they were quiet for a few months and now campaigned for money, im sure more people wouldve attended.

  4. “10 pm isn’t the best time “
Does Hatzolah tell that to you when you call with an emergency?
“If they were quiet for a few months “
Are you Kidding?! Do you realize what it takes to operate an organization like Hatzolah?
So the timing may not be perfect and you feel like you just contributed !
That’s exactly what Hatzolah does every single day

  5. E.k. I hope you rethink what you said. If chas vsholom you or someone close to you needed hatzolahs emergency assistance, im sure the last thing you would want to hear would be “sorry its too late. You shouldve called before 10”

  6. Hatzalah is an organization that everyone needs.
Unfortunately this event was not marketed properly. I and others had no idea what it was about. I didn’t feel the importance to go.
Discussing the Halachas that pertain to members didn’t really interest me. Was it more than that? It seemed like that was what it was about, from the way it was marketed.
What was the point of the Asifa?
What was the goal trying to accomplish?
Why didn’t every rov of every shul stand up and ask everyone to go?
    Just like on Shabbos Hatzalah.

  7. An event that highlighted technical shaylos being asked in Yiddish and ivrit was obviously targeted to a very specific audience, hence the small crowd…..

  8. people are just burnt out of asifos period. Many people stopped going a long time ago to all asifos even to those that they admit are super important. the whole asifa thing is overdone so much that people just tune out and ignore.
Its the same with the online ads asking for money for all the various tragedies. each one is terribly sad but after seeing them so many times, people just scroll down…

  9. Nate I’m with you, this asifa was marketed for the hatzule members not the olam, the olam had party’s all over towns by the big fundraising they got sign ups and raised money, then you sent the guys on a Israel trip, very nice,

  10. If It would of been a lavish Melave Malka or a Great Singer than it would of been pulling people to come. We are tired of so many Asifos.

  11. I think it’s a good time to remind all that when tab shorn leib Steinman zt”l stayed in Lakewood for three days and was treated with great respect there was not one hatzolah call during those days.

  12. Who said no one is supporting Hatzolah just because they didn’t come to the asifa. The asifa itself was advertised as technical halacha having to do with hatzolah members specifically and much of it in yiddish and ivrit. That’s not a very marketable way to draw large crowds. And not necessarily because we need singers and parties. It just wasn’t geared for the majority and most people didn’t really get what it was for. But most people still do appreciate hatzolah and do support them monetarily, even if they didn’t show up to hear what a hatzolah member is or isn’t allowed to do on shabbos.
