At 1:30 PM today, Alexis Franklin, Legal Specialist, with the New Jersey Division on Civil Rights (DCR), will be speaking with Lakewood High School and Middle School student-athletes and their coaches about bias incidents on and off the field.
Alexis Franklin is a Legal Specialist with the New Jersey Division on Civil Rights (DCR). In this role, she works closely with investigators to ensure the findings of their civil rights investigations are legally sound. Alexis also serves as a conciliator in matters where the Division has issued a Finding of Probable Cause.
Prior to working at DCR, Alexis worked in the private sector as an employment and civil rights attorney, and assisted clients in bringing claims under the FMLA, NJFLA, and NJLAD. Alexis graduated from Stanford University with a degree in political science, and received her law degree from Rutgers Law School.
