  1. you can’t tell from the camera angle whether there is a stop sign for the car also. if there is then the bus had the right of way. although the bus should have seen the car coming and stopped anyways.

    • @really?
It doesn’t matter. The bus did not come to a complete stop, ergo he ran the stop sign. And if he would have stopped the car would have probably crossed in front of him without contact.

    • I know the intersection. its in oak&vine. There is no stop sign for the direction the car was going. Not that it makes difference in Lakewood, who stops anyway.

      • I live 1/2 block from Oak & Vine – there is no stop signs there, it is a traffic light. I’ve seen that intersection but can’t place it now.

  2. Bus driver never even came to a full stop, i wonder if its the same drivers that fail to yield and just go at the four way stop signs when i’m on the road, we need a heavy increase in police warnings and tickets if we want this to stop

  3. By really if you zoom in you see the bus had a stop sign and he did not stop he went straight through the stop sign and I’m sure he’s not gonna get fired and I’m sure he’s not gonna be ticketed What is it gonna take for the law to come down on these bus drivers

  4. Although the bus driver is at fault, you hear the car horn beep seconds before, meaning that he was aware of the school bus not stopping. He had enough time to step on the breaks and yield to the bus but he went on anyways at full speed because “he was in the right”. So the car is at fault for his own self. Being right can also mean c”v dead right. It’s not about being right. It’s about being cautious. We can’t always expect others to listen to the rules, so we have to err on the side of caution even if we have the right of way. Put down your ego and fargin others’ mistakes for your own safety.
