Rodney Youmans, a longtime Lakewood Police Officer and Lakewood Firefighter retired as a police officer today after 25 years of service.

Youmans retired during a ceremony at police headquarters today, surrounded by family, friends and colleagues.

Last month, Youmans retired from the Lakewood Fire Department after 35 years of service in a private ceremony.

  2. MY daughter was in a car accident a few months back, her car was totaled and she was very shaken. He was so nice to her, when I arrived on the scene it was such a comfort that my daughter was treated so kindly and professionally. Thank you!
