Music was used accompany the avodah in the beis hamikdash.

1. I don’t know if it’s against halacha.
2. Assuming it’s not, I doubt this would’ve been adopted during the week as it’s extremely time-consuming. Obviously, it’s assur to do on Shabbos or it might have been very popular.

As an aside, the underlying theme of the commentators on the ‘frum ‘ websites for the past 24 hours has been one of intolerance towards other Yiddin, something that one would think we should be working to improve on during these days.

If Selichos is Tefillah (unlike hakofos on Simcha’s Torah), then a proper mechitzah is required. This one does not come close to Rav Moshe’s minimum requirements.
