slichos with music??
Music was used accompany the avodah in the beis hamikdash.
so I guess you feel we should have music everyday during shachris as well
1. I don’t know if it’s against halacha.
2. Assuming it’s not, I doubt this would’ve been adopted during the week as it’s extremely time-consuming. Obviously, it’s assur to do on Shabbos or it might have been very popular.
As an aside, the underlying theme of the commentators on the ‘frum ‘ websites for the past 24 hours has been one of intolerance towards other Yiddin, something that one would think we should be working to improve on during these days.
Point to ponder:
Why is the way you were taught necessarily the only and correct way to act?
If Selichos is Tefillah (unlike hakofos on Simcha’s Torah), then a proper mechitzah is required. This one does not come close to Rav Moshe’s minimum requirements.
If they go to slichos to enjoy a concert where to they say slichos
