VIDEO: Yosef Mutterperl’s South Side Sandwich Shop Closes Tonight

jmVIDEO: Standing outside the South Side Sandwich Shop this afternoon, Yosef Mutterperl, the proprietor of the shop, thanked the community for their support just hours before the closing of his famous eatery.

The South Side Sandwich Shop, located at 100 River Avenue, was established approximately 4 1/2 years ago, and was known for the famous smoked ribs, his ‘crazy sandwiches’ and much more.

The shop was evicted due to a new business being launched at the site by the property-owners.

The store was also home to the famous S.S.S.S. Shiur, given each Thursday evening by Reb Yisroel Meir Shapiro. The last Shiur at the store will be taking place tonight at 10 PM. The Shiur will continue at another location.

Though the store will be closing at midnight tonight – or when the food runs out – Mutterperl hopes he will find a new home for his shop very soon. [TLS]
