Cameras at Chambers Bridge Road and Brick Boulevard designed to catch people running red lights will be turned on at 12:01 a.m. Monday, township police announced. The cameras are the second set in the township. Cameras at Chambers Bridge Road and Route 70 were turned on earlier this year. During its 30-day probationary period, the first cameras caught nearly 1,100 motorists running red lights.
Anyone caught running a red light at Chambers Bridge Road and Brick Boulevard will get a warning mailed to their home. The warning period ends Sept. 1, after which anyone running a red light at the intersection will receive a summons that carries an $85 fine.
No driver’s license points will be associated with tickets issued based on photos.
Summonses will be issued only when the video shows that a motorist’s car completely passed the white stop line painted on the road after the light had turned red, police said. Full story in APP.

I think they should place video camras on clifton ave in order to catch those that speed through those pedestrian signs!!!
I said this months ago. A few video cams would free up officers for more important issues around town.
How do they know who to ticket if they aren’t sure who is driving the car?
#3 If u read it says the car gets ticketed not the driver. Just like a parking ticket etc..
Need them on Forest Ave & 9th…. That light is horrible
