VIDEO: A vehicle became engulfed in flames in a parking lot this evening and severely damaged a local business.
A member of Lakewood First Aid was driving by the parking lot at Route 88 and Park Avenue around 10 PM and noticed flames shooting out of the vehicle, and called for the fire department.
The fire was extinguished shortly afterwards, but not before setting the siding and roof of a nearby building on fire.
There were no injuries reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.

Great Job Marty!!!! When’s Vort btw
Great job with the knock down of the fire. My only question is, NO AIR PACKS ON THE INITIAL HOSE TEAM, WHY??. Safety comes first!!! Vehicle fires produce a lot of different chemicals and if you had a facie piece on breathing clean air you wouldn’t be exposed.
Think about your safety first!!!
