Three years ago, Lakewood Tashbar invited the world renowned speaker Horav Michoel Sorotzkin to be a guest speaker at their Annual Dinner.
Being that the dinner took place around the first yahrtzeit of the Gadol haDor Hagaon Rav Aron Leib Steinman zt”l, the phenomenal speaker delivered a powerful and dynamic speech which included a unique story about Reb Aron Leib’s fatherly approach towards children who went off the derech. This influential and persuasive story prevented a boy from marrying a non Jewish girl bringing him back home.
The story was so impressive and powerful that it went viral worldwide. Hundreds of parents who shared similar problems from around the globe received a tremendous inspiration from the story and were able to reach out to sources of chizuk and take a new approach to their grave problem.
The TLS video garnered tens of thousands of views online and social media, and was featured in many international Jewish websites, including by chizuk organizations worldwide.
Stories kept coming from around the world about the phenomenal impact and unprecedented impression it left on so many people.
In the merit of Hagaon Rav Steinman zt”l, we present this clip again.
May it be a zechus le’iluy nishmaso.
Wow. Saw it again and cried. We should learn from our giants to make our world better.
Speech is magnificent.
Totally amazing
Can it be put on the website so even those of us who have filters can see it thanks
I was there by the tashbar event and heard this speech live. The entire crowd was captivated.
Will be for ever remembered .
This is the best tribute for the gadol hador.
Very interesting and inspiring
I saw somewhere on line the same speaker’s tribute by reading the tzavoa of Rav Shteiman ztz”l’s at the time of his funeral. . It was a masterpiece as well.
Is there a print version of the story? It is so much easier to read and then store for future reference.
Rav Shteinman זצ”ל was the Chofetz Chaim of our generation. So much tzidkus and chochmas hachaim with a true Torah vision as the one in charge of the entire generation.
This speaker brought out these maalos so eloquently in this emotional speech which penetrated every Jewish heart.
I saw in a book a story that when rav Steinmann a”h used to visit the Chazon Ish ,when he left, the Chazon Ish honored him and always walked him outside to the street. He was the only one that he used to do it to. When asked by Reb Chaim Kanyeivsky why, he answered that the oilam don’t have an idea of the gadlus of rav Steinman a”h.
This was when Rav Steinmann a”h was in his 30’s.
After listening to this unbelievable story told by this gifted speaker, I understand why.
