In anticipation of the Yahrzeit, The Rabbi Dr. Joseph Breuer Foundation had planned a family Yahrzeit Seuda which was to have featured a video of the Novominsker Rebbe zt”l recalling his memories of Rav Breuer.
The Rebbe recorded the video on the Erev Shabbos following Purim. Shortly after, the world as we know it changed due to the coronavirus. The Rebbe was the only one that was able to be recorded for the video.
The Foundation released the video of the Rebbe zt”l, L’zecher Nishmas Rav Breuer and the Novominkser Rebbe.
Thank you LTS.
This is a phenomenal interview, and a must watch for all.
The Rebbe’s appreciation for mesorah (no matter the mesorah ) was remarkable. This is something we should all be showing our children, at this time when we are spending so much times in our homes the precious mesorah each family has, whether it’s from Germany, Hungay, Poland Rusissia or Lita, and all comtinue with that tradition.
Yehei Zichrom Baruch.
I can watch the Rebbe speak all day. Such internal gadlus, so well spoken, such composure and chochmah. Chaval al di’avdun!
The Novominsker certainly revered R’ Bruer but it would be incorrect to call R’ Bruer his mentor.
Ahh, מתוק מדבש. Thank you for this beautiful, sweet talk from the Rebbe zatzal. We miss him so much. We need him now more than ever. It’s hard to believe that we lost him.
Brings back warm memories of the most wonderful Kehilla in the world! Rav Perlow was rav of our shul for a number of years, but, we also were members in Breuer’s and would go on Yom Tov to personally wish Rav Breuer a Gut Yom Tov.
I remember when the Noviminsker spoke at Rav Schwab’s shloshim. He said “Yosef ainena vShimon ainena”!
This video bought me to tears. The gadlus of the rebbe and his humility is evident. And the way he describes the kehila makes it come to life.
So beautiful and inspiring. Thanks for posting.
