VIDEO: TLS announcement reunites lost dog with its owner

2017-01-05-photo-00000640[VIDEO BELOW] A lost dog was reunited with its owner, thanks to a TLS article.

Immediately after we posted about the lost dog, a Lakewood family realized this was the dog they had been caring for since it ended up at their home several days ago, in hopes of finding its owner – but they had no information.

“We had been taking care of it since it got out, and tried to find its owners – unitl we saw your post,” Mrs. H. wrote to TLS. The dog was brought to this Lakewood family by friends who found it roaming.

The family had a dog of their own, providing the little lost Yorkshire Terrier with company.

“We have a lab who immediately bonded with this small dog,” Mrs. H. wrote. “As a matter of fact, they were inseparable – the tiny dog following my regular sized lab – it was a riot!”

When Mrs. H. contacted the dog’s owner, she was beyond ecstatic, and couldn’t stop thanking the family and TLS for this happy ending.

The dog’s owner, Anessa Clark, sent the following to TLS after they were reunited.

“Brownie had ran away Dec. 31st, that afternoon I contacted the police and put a report out on him. My little family was devastated for 3 days straight -I contacted all animal shelters, vets, etc.

I posted information on several different sites asking for help. I had a nice lady named Laura and her k-9 Cruz come out in the rain to help search for him, I couldn’t put up any flyers due to the rain we had for the last 2 days.

I was recommended by a rescue team to reach out to Lakewood Scoop and so I did.

I woke up this morning to an email from a lovely Jewish family stating that they seen on Lakewood Scoop that it was my dog and that they have Brownie and that he is safe and would love to be back with his family! So I raced to their house and there my Brownie was!

The family was so nice and genuine. They saw him the day he ran away and took him in, so he wasn’t out in the poor weather suffering. They gave brownie food, shelter, and a nice bubble bath – I was so pleased and thankful for what the family did for my dog! They also have a dog named Ozzy, and him and Brownie had a great few days together. Now we have made new friends and will have playdates. My Son Omari is sooo happy he has his best friend back home safe!”

  1. Stories like this warm my heart and show that there is a lot of love and compassion in this world. A dog was reunited, safe and sound, and I’m sure there are a lot of happy people that will sleep better tonight. It may be the most significant bit in the news but so important to show that people care.
