  1. While this might be an unusual crime, when will people realize that we live in a town that is full of criminals and (moderated). DON’T leave your windows unlocked, DON’T leave your cars unlocked, and DON’T leave valuables outside unattended even for a short time!!!

  2. She is back out on the street. if you see her – watch your valuables.

She was caught when she walked by 2 days later. wearing the same jacket. Brilliant.

  3. Isn’t obvious in the ridge neighborhood not to leave packages outside ? I think anyone that does is definitely miyayesh on their goods & the lady can keep it.

  4. Looks like the camera was hand held. Video surveillance camera do not pan, zoom, and shake like this one did. Oh well, at least she was caught.

  5. #9 – it seems that the owner of the house (and one time owner of the package of food) took a video of the surveillance film and emailed that to the scoop. That may explain why its a little shaky and also why there was a pause on the footage.

  6. The camera was not hand held. The panning and zooming was done while it was being played back on the computer to enhance the image for the pilice .

  7. I’m sure this is not the first time she stole although it may be the first time she got caught. I hope this sends a message to the Lakewood thieves to keep thier itchy fingers in their own pocket and respect other peoples property and privacy.

  8. The narrator also said she has white lettering on her sleeve. Why oh why do they need to say what color. We love all nationalities white, black, hispanic, all of them.

  9. For all of those who feel so bad for this poor hungry woman you are welcome to invite her to your Friday night meals or to leave a donation for her. Its very nice to be so generous and sympathetic on someone elses back. Please let us know your address so we can send her over.

  10. Actually if this woman wanted food so bad she should have gotten help. She must have family and friends she can turn to. People who care about her.
But stealing is only gonna create a hunger for jail time. I hope she learned her lesson.

  11. Stealing-EVERYONE WOULD DO ANYTHING not to steal, but if you don’t have money and did’nt eat for the past 6 months then thats when you cut the rope. It’s obvious she was hungry…cus if she really wanted to real steal, she would go for more expensive stuff
    agree?
