  1. I was very fortunate to live right across from Rav Miller (ZTHKL)’s home/shul/bais medrash. While working as an undercover LEO I would come across cases that were, let’s say, problematic. Many times I was zocher to join him on his early morning walks on Ocean Parkway and ask him Shailas on touchy cases. I would always take his advice, which were sometimes surprising. I had a beard and kippah at work so I was often singled out for certain cases, if you get the idea. The Rav was medakdek on law and order and there were times I was threatened with being a rogue and even insubordination for not getting involved with certain operations the brass felt I could pull off. Rav Miller got me through some rough times. ZTHKL.
