  1. They seem to be comfortable walk around. Doesn’t look like they’re afraid someone is going to walk in on them. They also seem to be focused on getting that safe. Looks like they found what they were looking for and are now taking it out.
Would seem to me that they went in looking for the scroll.
If that’s the case, this wasn’t just any theft of opportunity. It would have to be a planned robbery with this exact goal in mind.
Make what you want of that…

  2. This is mamesh painful to watch. But i AGREE WITH # 5 – These r ppl who know something about the community and Shabbos & torah scrolls. I hope every pawn shop is alerted to an attempted sale.

  3. The video makes it seem like they know exactly what they were looking for and where it was. It seems to me that they had inside knowledge of what they were looking for because it definitely does not look like a random burglary…

  4. They are so dumb as a stolen scroll is worthless as no jews will buy it from a non trusted source. We only buy a scroll if we know exactly who wrote it and every single piece of its history.

  5. The thieves will surely make the phone call to its whereabouts for the reward money only if it assures confidentiality , no criminal charges & no questions asked; otherwise a friend or relative whom doesn’t care if they go to prison may make the phone call or send the e-mail to get the reward money. Or detectives may just find it.
