Stunning…where can purchase the recordings?
What a disgrace it is bad enough that a “frum” singer is doing a cover of a goyishe song but the fact that Tls is promoting it makes me question if the Lakewood scoop cares about anything besides clicks
read the rambam in pirush hamishnayos about what makes a song goyish or not.
hint: it has nothing to do with the native language.
That said, i dont know what this song means, but i challenge you to relate what is objectionable before you denounce it!
Can you ‘enlighten’ us what this rendition is?
Ari Zoldan did a great job helping him develop his natural talent. Great talent. Matnas Elokim Mamash!
So now we’re promoting non Jewish songs?
Pathetic.
You lost me on this one.
I don’t consider myself super haredi, but if Jews are going to sing a song about a city, it should be Jerusalem, not the Italian town of Sorrento.
Aren’t there enough cantorial pieces in Jewish Music that this aspiring cantor could have covered?
while there is nothing “jewish” about the performance, other than being performed by a Jewish man, is it any different if a Jewish acrobat can make a remarkable flip?
This man is showcasing his talent, and thats that.
As long as there isnt something inherently objectionable with the song or its message, let artists “art”, no?
What a masterpiece, this artist clearly differentiates himself from the dime a dozen chuppah singers and acknowledges, that there are some true pieces of art irrespective of the religious background of them.!!!
What really amazes me is that people are so bored and pathetic, that they feel the need to go after someone who just put out a classic masterpiece which is truly inspiring, to anyone with taste.
And to the hater’s might I suggest a job working for the garbage disposal company, Since that’s what you are.
Vocals out of this world!
As far as song selection goes this certainly trumps the current pop albums being put out in the guys of so called “Jewish music”
Wow stunning!!!! Such a talented young man neeeed more!!!!
Goyishe Opera Feh disgusting that the Lakewood Scoop lost its sensitivity!
There are so much beautiful chazzonos and yiddish folklore, why waste yourself on what the umos haolam consider honorable!
Great job, A.T.!
It’s not from any opera. It’s nicer than any of the “Jewish” music out there. To all complaining people – GET A LIFE!
And the Mangoes from Costco taste better then from the yiddish store too..
The Mangos from Costco are Israeli you need to take off trumas uMasros:)
Relax everyone!
If you listen carefully it’s just the recipe for fettuccine Alfredo
lol!
Thanks for the laugh. I really needed it today.
Beautiful vocals! However, just because he’s wearing a yarmulke, doesn’t mean it’s a Jewish song. Thank you for being machshil me into listening to non Jewish music! Aveira goreres aveira! I’m scared to know where I’ll end up next!
About suggesting to sing about Jerusalem, then you’re just asking for comments that he’s tzioni. People will always complain, including me!
Can we please keep this site kosher!?
I play classical piano si clearly my issue isn’t classical music per se, but I don’t feel that The Lakewood Scoop is the proper forum for it…
These comments are too funny. Thanks for the laughs
