As earlier reported, Jeremy Kuipers, who currently is the electric subcode inspector for Lakewood Township, will be replacing Mike Saccomanno as the Acting Construction Official for the Lakewood Township.
To be a Director of Code Enforcement in New Jersey, also known as a Construction Official, a person must also be licensed by the state, as well as possession of a Subcode Official license and successful completion of an educational program.
Additionally, Janelle Witham has been named as the Acting Department Head, and Terry Guadlip has been named as the Acting Building Subcode Official.
“I look forward to continue working with the community, and keeping Mike’s legacy alive,” Janelle Witham stated.
I think that anyone who has dealt with Lakewood building department has mixed feelings about this. On one hand we all miss Mike. On the other hand we are excited to see Jeremy serve as the construction official. Any electrical or solar contractor that has dealt with Jeremy as an inspector can attest to his knowledge, integrity, and, above all, his pleasant disposition. Lakewood was lucky to have such an inspector, and is fortunate to have him as a construction official!
