While the first booster catch last month was successful, a SpaceX launch moments ago landed the booster in the water, while its ship continued on its mission successfully.

SpaceX Launches Successful Flight, With Elon Musk Making a Splash Landing Inside the Oval Office
SpaceX in conjunction with the Trump transition team launched a successful first-of-a-kind flight Tuesday, with the SpaceX rocket booster descending slowly into a patch of roses inside the White House Rose Garden, and Elon Musk making a relatively smooth landing inside the Oval Office, directly on top of President Biden’s desk.
The space ship, which continued on its path and ascended into orbit, is scheduled to land in Tehran in a matter of days, where Mr. Musk’s space crew will attempt to appease the Iranian Mullahs and transform the demonic despots into harmless, lovable, fuzzy human beings.
“Hey, what’s going on here?!” said a visibly annoyed President Joe Biden after Mr. Musk landed squarely on top of his desk, with his feet inadvertently landing inside the President’s ice cream cone, splattering ice cream all over the desk and the President’s suit.
“Your launch and your splash landing is a bit premature,” the President said, “considering that Mr. Trump doesn’t take the oath of office until January!”
“Elon!” Mr. Biden hollered, “clean up this ice cream mess immediately or I’ll have Jack Smith charge you with trespassing and with a whole slew of ice cream cone violations.”
Mr. Musk reportedly told WH staffers later in the day that he plans to transform the Oval Office into a highly sophisticated SpaceX command post, which prompted Mr. Trump to issue a tweet later in the day, praising Mr. Musk’s ingenuity.
“Wow,” Mr. Trump tweeted, “Elon is an incredible genius! I can assure you that, in due time, there’ll be thousands of space ships flying around the corridors of the White House!”
“My fellow Trump staffers,” Mr. Trump added, “prepare yourselves for the journey of a lifetime, because pretty soon, you and I will be orbiting the Oval Office before we gradually ascend into space and into the furthest galaxies!”
“One thing I can tell you,” he said, “we’re gonna make the galaxies great again, that’s for sure!”
