VIDEO: Retired Township Employee Said She Lived The American Dream After Surviving War

VIDEO: Surrounded by family and friends, Helena Sininsky had some emotional word for the crowd at Thursday evening’s Township Committee meeting, where she was honored and recognized for her dedication to the town for so many years.

“I had one dream, to come to the United State of America”, Helena said. “Not only did my dream get fulfilled, but here I am tonight standing amongst my friends and all you who are part of my life, and that I have achieved to work for the United States Government. That is one of my biggest accomplishments. I am the richest person, with the friends that are in my life.”

Helena, a Holocaust Survivor who worked as the Switchboard Operator at the Township’s Inepction Department for 25 years, was presented with a plaque by the Mayor in recognition for her outstanding achivements.
