Maybe the gedolim should make a yom taanis
Wow! Those who know what the gedolim should say are really obligated to reveal themselves and be gedolim
@Opiner
She’s wondering why we don’t have yom taanis anymore. What’s your sarcastic comment for?
Gedolim have said that for us, the smallest things are like a taanis. Some slight reduction of material pleasure. And even more so, thanking Hashem for everything we DO have!! These things mean a lot. R’ Simcha Bunim Cohen (his Reb. is a granddaughter of R.A.M.) said this recently in a shiur. Thank Hashem for what you do have, then He doesn’t need to send messages to awaken the person.
Rav Miller didnt say to fast, he said to cry out to Hashem, as often as you can. The soldiers are fighting mainly at night, between 11Pm and 5AM israel time- in the US people are up then, please daven for them especially during those hours, 4PM-10PM NY Time. They are in Gaza on the ground in great danger. You can literally save lives with your tefilos. Do not minimize the affect of even one perek tehilim!
“The newspapers wrote against Hitler” which made him even more angry.
If not for the newspapers Hitler would’ve built upstate bungalow colonies with Gala 20 types of herring & meat boards kiddushim & separate mens/women swimming pools as a safe place for Jews to wait out the war.
amazing thanks so much for sharing!!
I wish Rabbi Miller was still alive.
Now I see the Rav did mention fasting as well. We should at least be davening as much as we can, even if we feel we cannot fast.
