VIDEO: Rabbi Osher Eisemann Learning Gemara in court as jury deliberates

Reader-submitted: Rabbi Osher Eisemann learning gemara with his son in the empty courtroom as the jury deliberates his case in a sequestered jury room.

No consensus was reached today, and the jury will continue deliberations at 9:00 tomorrow morning.

The cost of the defense team is astronomical. B”H, yidden from all across the country have donated toward the costs, but more money is still needed. Every day the case drags out, the bill gets bigger. (Lawyers and accountants get paid according to the case’s duration.) Even if a donation was already made, consider adding to it, as the costs are still mounting. The Pidyon Shvuyim campaign can be accessed at pidyonshvuyim.com.

  1. I have feeling the Developing news will be good in Hashem Hands. Rabbi Eiseman you don’t deserve this situation. There will be sign and good news for you Rabbi Eiseman.

  2. Thisbis so not a shock to me. Like many in this town, I’m good friends with R’ Osher. My daughter went to SCHI and I live in his neighborhood and see and shmooze with him very often. This is a Yid who lives with and is Oived H-shem every minute of every hour of every day since he’s a Bar Daas. May H-shem, the Ohev Tzedaka U’Mishpat, send the Yeshua B’korov.

  3. Knowing Rav Osher for so many years and from so many angles, least of which having a special needs child in Schi my heart goes out to him and to his family what they have had to endure the last couple of years. The love and affection this whole town has for Rav Osher speaks to what a true taddik Rav Osher is.. May we be zoicha to a yeshua later today….

  4. please remember that whatever the outcome is, it will be for the benfit of the rav. but why are we surprised that he is learning with his son? that’s what an ehrliche yid does with his spare time

  5. We all daven fervently that he will be acquitted of all and any charges. That is our responsibility. Please don’t say that whatever the outcome is it will be good for the RAV. That sounds insensitive. A person in his situation who is on a very high level, can think that. His friends and Neighbors have to rally for his Acquittal

  6. I am involved in the case and want to point out something important. People have told me that “he must have done something wrong, although maybe not as much as they are prosecuting him for”. That is absolutely false. If you find out the details of the prosecution vrs the defense, it is obvious that he did not commit any crime, even a minor one.

  7. i dont chas v’sholom think he may have done something wrong. but, as much as our job is to beseech the Ribono Shel Olam on rav eisman’s behalf, it is not our job to tell HaShem what to do

  8. i live in england and i have rav Osher ben chana Frimett on my mind i heard of his yashrus and integrity may Hashem protect him from all the evils and sonei ysroel bekorov

  9. As someone who worked in SCHI for 4 years, I saw first hand the Mesiras Nefesh and the Tzadik that Rabbi Eiseman is.

I still remember as a 8th grade Talmud in Tashbar of Lakewood, once Rabbi Eiseman was walking by the School ( when it was on 7th and princeton) during the end of recess, our 8th grade Rebbi stopped Rabbi Eiseman and asked him to speak to us in our classroom, our Rebbi told us “you see this man? He is a living example of Emunah and Bitachon” Rabbi Eiseman then went on to speak to our class about the power of Emunah and Betachon.

This took place in 2002, I still remember this happening as if it was yesterday…

We have to continue to daven and learn in Zechus of the Tzadik Rabbi Eiseman.

  10. For those of us who daven at r’hirchberg’s shul, all know that whenever we were bochurim talking with r’ osher about any upcoming schi event, or stam hock, his response was always the same. “biny, just sit and learn, sit and learn!”(in R osher’s signature voice/tone… Vdai lmeivin) so it comes as no surprise that this how he was spending his morning.! Hashem yoshmirehu vyatzeelehu meafeila loves. Amen!
