VIDEO: Possible Meteor Seen Over Lakewood, East Coast Friday Night

VIDEO: Did you witness that flash across the sky early Friday night? According to experts, that flash was consistent with the characteristics of a Meteor.

Witnesses tell TLS that while walking home from Shul last night, they saw what appeared to be a shooting star – something with a tail on fire.

The object was in fact seen in many cities along the East Coast, but experts would not be able to say for certain if it was in fact a Meteor – because it didn’t touch ground.

In the 9 second video below shot over Maryland, you will notice the flash shooting from the left of your screen to the right. TLS.

  1. I saw it Friday night! And by the way it did not look exactly like that although of course it is the same thing from a different vantage point.

I was walking home from shul 2/22/13 Friday night about 8pm. I cut through the back to get to my house, I was walking along side my home and right above me this flaming object flew by and got smaller and smaller until is disintegrated. It was flaming and had some kind of tail or thingmigig tailing along. It past my mind that it was a comet or shooting star but it seemed very very low. Like a few hundred feet high (I could have made a bracha, oh well) so I thought maybe it was some kind of weird firework. I couldn’t figure it out I just stood there wondering what it was…I got home I told my wife and forgot about it.

I think the reason why it seemed so low is because, I saw on a map of its path, Lakewood is basically directly in its path. Although it was seen in Maryland and Boston they are getting a far off view. From right under it may look very low, or perhaps the flaming fire made it look lower…either way it was down right freaky.
