CAUGHT ON VIDEO: Police this afternoon were sent on a wild foot chase, which left two Police Officers injured, as earlier reported on TLS and on our News Alerts.
When the first officer was injured on First Street, police lost track of their suspect, officials tell TLS.
However, police continued to search for the suspect as well as for an accomplice.
About twenty minutes later, the accomplice was spotted on Forest Avenue, sending about ten officer back into the chase.
Police chased the suspect on foot over fences and through backyards, but lost track of this second suspect as well.
One officer had to break off the chase after cutting his arm while jumping a fence, officials tell TLS.
Several minutes later, the second suspect reappeared on 14th Street, where multiple officers were searching, and waiting for the suspect to emerge from the residential backyards.
The suspect was immediately tackled by about six officers, and taken into custody.
The second injured officer was also taken to KMC.
Sources say a third officer was also treated for dizziness.
At the beginning of this exclusive video, the ambulance can be seen leaving the scene where the first officer was injured. TLS-CCP/TLS-50/TLS-MK.
