By Aaron Neuman. Bob Hugin, the Republican candidate attempting to unseat Senator Bob Menendez, visited Misameach in Lakewood on Thursday to discuss his platform with the community.
In a wide-ranging discussion with the assembled crowd, Hugin argued that his candidacy was the one that stood for values cherished by many in Lakewood, and that is the candidate who has common decency and is not corrupt. Hugin claimed that the most recent internal poll taken by his campaign shows him leading Menendez by 2 percentage points.
Mr. Hugin urged the community to come out and vote for him on November 6th, saying that with the race being a virtual tie, every vote truly matters.
Hugin will get 85% of the Lakewood vote and we will put him over the top!! Lakewood is TRUMP country!!! Menendez is part of the resistance and opposes our duly elected president on all fronts.
Hugin will represent Lakewood and New Jersey in Washington!
Don’t listen to the “Vaad” vote for the republican.

Am I seeing the Menendez ad right??? The vaad endorses him???? Is that true? I hope he is referring to last election because that is simply impossible to believe in the current race: we have the chance to replace a Democrat with a Republican in the Senate in New Jersey finally; please don’t waste that chance.
Although Menendez has a good track record, we must give trump as much support as possible. Hopefully Menendez won’t take it personally, but he will vote against trump. Go Hugin! The vaad is only endorsing Menendez to be on the food side of those in power in NJ like Murphy.

The vaad also enforced Murphy who vetoed on the ballot question funding for security for private schools they also enforced Spartacus Booker who has become more anti Israel every day from supporting the iran deal to voting in commitee against the taylor force act which bans funding the palestinians until they stop paying terrorists and their families and recently was supporting anti israel activists taking pictures holding anti israel signs

and the vadd made a point to say its going to be a desisive term coming up in congress so isnt that the best reason to vote hugin and not menendez?
I understand we have to have grattitude like the vadd says but to what degree do we take that , espeicaly sine he is at the end of the day a dem and all they want to do next term is obstruct and impeach that it! so where is the vadd coming from ill be voting hugin till i have a better explanation and hopefully most of lakewood does so we can get him over the top!

I am not defending Menendez, and am definitely not defending the Vaad, but there is one reason to vote for Menendez (though I will probably vote for Hugin).
It is a lot better for Israel if a Democrat senator is pro-Israel than if a Republican senator is pro. Since Trump moved the embassy, caring about Israel has been at risk of becoming a partisan issue, which would be terrible. Keeping outspoken Democrat Israel supporters on the Senate has its plus.
