What The Center does for my special needs daughter and, by extension my entirw family is indescribable. And they make this concert every year. This was an amazing event, Yaakov Shwekey was great, the kids got nosh and a ggod tijme was had by all. And how can I forget – Meir Rosenbaum, on flute, was absolutely sublime. The Center ROX !!!
@command post – I agree 100%. It’s hard to explain to someone what The Center does and means to the family of a special child. What they do is amazing and the concert was amazing. Special thanx to the Heilgeh Rebbitzen Mrs Yenty Reichmann, who is a one-person , take-care-of-everything machine. Her Choshuver husband, R’ Akiva is also an amazing person and he gets a HUGE chelek in what she does. And, it’s true – Meir Rosenbaum on the flute was otherworldly.

@shalom. Ur 100% right. Yaakov was so ON last night. He was hitting those high notes K’loi Huyuh. And btw he gets a Mazel Tov, his wife, a founding member of the Center had a baby 3 days ago. And, yes, she was there !! Unreal. Just unreal what the center staff does for these kids. May H-shem bentch them forever.
My son attends the center. What the center does is so unreal. The concert was just amazing and a true display of all the care and concern that the staff members all show each and every child. Go center!!!!!
I was there. And I agree with the prvious posters. first of all, to the Center staff in general & Mrs reichman in particular, there r no words to adaquately thank you for all that you do for the special children and their families. Secondly, the concert itself was fasntastic. As an amateur musician who apprecdiatres music, this night was a blast. YAnky Katina had superb guitar solos, Meyer rosendbaum had those lofty, brilliant flute pieces, And Yaakov was outstanding. Thanx so much to all the arrangers. May you have the strength to continue your holy work, till Moshiach comes, when it’ll no longer be necassary !! We should still have Shwekey Chanukah concerts, tho, NO ??!!!!
